Will there be the Final Fantasy????

Hello fellow gamers, is was only a matter of time until i started talking about Final Fantasy.  The Final Fantasy series has been around for many years.  They have gone from the original Final fantasy

released in 1990 in America

To the newest installment Final Fantasy XIII-2 released in 2012.

This series has been going on for almost a quarter of a century.  This game series is truly amazing and I think that the ones that have been made will be go down as revolutionary and legendary games.  My question is how long will this continue? How many more Final Fantasies will there be.  Is there ever going to be a Final Fantasy to the Final Fantasy Series.

I have loved the Final Fantasy Series since I first played Final Fantasy VII.  I love the Final Fantasy series because it allows me to escape to a world that I do not have to imagine.  It is all right there on the screen.  I guess you can say for almost every game... But, not in the way that Final Fantasy does it.  I love the entirely different stories that each Final fantasy has.  I love how each Final Fantasy (For the most part) has its own world that you can explore and enjoy.  I love the signature characters that have become symbols of the Final Fantasy Series.  These can include Cloud, Zidane, Squall, Tidus, I could go on all day about all of the characters that are in the Final Fantasy series.  There is also the incredible journey that each party of characters go on in each game.  During the journey the characters find love, find their courage, and/or find a group of friends that they will have forever.

However, not everyone likes Final Fantasy.  I honestly see why you cannot like the great journey of Final Fantasy. I have heard some weak arguments for not liking Final Fantasy.  First, I have a friend that chose to not like Final Fantasy just because they are all called Final Fantasy.  Now I do not know about any of you but I do not care about the title of a game.  In my opinion that is like judging a book by its cover.  You are just looking at the outside of the box and do not bother opening just because you do not like the title.  I also have another friend that said that they will not play Final Fantasy because they do not like playing turn-based strategy (which is what Final Fantasy is) but he will play the pokemon games.................................I don't know.

Anyway, those are just some things about Final Fantasy, that I love and some things that I just don't quite get about people who do not play the games.  But back to the original question: Will there be a Final Fantasy?  I think that there will be, I do not know when, but I think that there will be a Final Fantasy.  I really hope that I do not see the end in my lifetime.  However, I believe that there will be a once and for all Final Fantasy.

Anywho, I just thought that I should share some of my opinions and questions will my fellow gamers.  If the Final Fantasy series has an end then no matter what the games that are here will be here forever and they will have always made their mark in gaming history.  I just hope that there is no end to the Final Fantasy series in the near furture.

A personal note of video games

This is going to be a different sort of blog post, I will be talking about Video games like always, however, I will be talking about my own personal experiences with video games.  I am going to talk about not just class video games but my history with video games.  I will all be explained later in the post if you have no idea what the hell I am talking about.  So let us get started.
I started playing video games when I was a younger version of myself.  My first game that I every played was Rugrats the Search for Reptar for the PlayStation and back then I thought that it was the best thing ever, and even in present day when I know play that game I think that it is still an awesome game to play.  I was interested in this particular game because as a child I would always watch Rugrats and I assume that most of you all have seen and watched Rugrats.  Anyway that was the first game that I ever played.  Then I started to accumulate that massive collection of games that I now own.  They consisted of PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games as well as Game cube and Wii games.  Now I play my 360 and am creating a collection of games that just keeps growing.  My computer gaming experience did not take off until I was in high school. This is mainly because I believed that the game Age of Empires was terrifying.  Well anyway, the thing that I am trying to get at is how much video games are a part of my life and how much that make me who I am today.  I do not remember a time that video games were important to me.  Ever since I started playing Rugrats I was hooked.  I like the escape that they provide, they make you feel as if you are that character in the game, going on their adventures.  Video games are a part of me and I do not know what I would do if I had to give them up or if they were gone from my life.  So I just thought that I would share this with you all because I think that they have molded me into the person I am today.  Without video games who knows what kind of person I would be or any of us would be...
Well on that personal note I believe that we have come to the end of another blog written by none other than Butter Mcspanky Pants! Have a great week!

ponderings about World of Warcraft

Hello Readers!  My thoughts have been on World of Warcraft for a while now and I think that I should be getting them down and share my thoughts with all of you before they disappear into the wild blue yonder, so here we go.  When I first started playing World of Warcarft back in sophmore year of high school, so roughly four years ago, I was addicted to it.  I found myself not doing anything else but play World of Warcraft.  Why I did this, I do not know, maybe it was the fact that it was a whole new experience to me and I wanted more and more of it, almost like it was a drug with very addictive qualities.  Or maybe it was the fact that I was actually enjoying myself while playing in World of Warcraft.  My Dwarven Warrior Avatar became my "Second Skin" I was this Dwarven Warrior when I was playing.
However, That Dwarven Warroir that I created was a long time ago.  My character for class is nowhere near the Warrior that I created some time ago.  For class I created a Orc Shaman and it seems to me that I did a complete change.  I went from Alliance to Horde and a Warrior to and Shaman.  In my mind it seems as though it was a complete change in roles.  So anyway I really do enjoy playing my Orc Shaman, I have to employ different strategies to complete what I need to accomplish.  The way that I think about it is that, my race and class are like a class in college.  I must employ different strategies to accomplish tasks that my race and class present to me.  If that makes any sense.  However, with all video games I find World of Warcraft to be an adventure and if the adventure does not present itself at the beginning of the game then I make my own, whether it pretains to the game or not.
Anyway, I used to be a loner when it comes to games like this, it is almost like I was playing a single player game and other people happen to be there.  However, when I started playing with this class my opinion suddenly changed and I became a very vocal person, well at least I think that I became a vocal person.  Why this happened exactly, I don't know, maybe it is becasue I acutally know my fellow players in real life, or maybe because I am in a position of leadership.  Either way  my opinion has changed and I think for the better.  Well Those are my thoughts and some experiences of World of Warcraft.  Well have a great week and Butter Mcspanky pants thanks you for reading! Peace!

The long awaited post #2

Hello fellow classmates, I have been off the blogging radar for a while and now I am back on.  In my last post I promised to talk about both Skyrim and World of Warcraft.  So before I change my mind lets get started.  Lets us start with the wonderful world of Skyrim.Skyrim is the northern most country in the continent of Tamriel, the home of the nord, a frost resistant race of warriors.  As I mentioned before I created an Argonian, a lizard race.  And this Argonian that I created is a special person called the Dragonborn which means that he is able to speak the language of the dragons, which is used in the form of shouts.  Anyway as I started playing Skyrim I was imprisoned and about ready to be exeucted because the Imperial Legion thought that I was a rebel even though I was not a rebel.  Anyway I was saved from beheadment by a dragon called Alduin: The World-eater.  Which the dragonborn has to eventually kill becaue Alduin wants to destroy Skyrim and eventually Tamriel.  Overall, this game is a great game, it brings the fun of a great story with the freedom of a do whatever you want game.  Another thing that I noticed about Skyrim is how great and realistic it looks.  When I am in the first person mode it feels like I am acutally the Dragonborn and killing all of the dragons.  So I would recommend this game to anyone who looking for a great game to play.
Skyrim makes me feel that I am playing a MMORPG but I'm not, I am play a single player game it is really cool experience to be emerged in the huge world of Skyrim.  The map of the Game space Skyrim is above and all of that is explorable.  There are caves and forts that scatter the landscape that are free to explore as well.  Overall, I am glad with my choice for skyrim and it a large amount of replay value.
So this is it for this post hope you will continue to read my thoughts and opinions, I have been trying you cut down on the amount I write so that you don't explode while reading them However, Next is world of warcraft.  Till next time Butter McSpanky Pants out!!!

POST NUMBER 1

Welcome to Post number 1 of Butter Mcspanky Pants.  This is going to be a blog that deals with comic books and video games.  This is my first blog ever so bare with me and it will certainly be an adventure full of magic, mystery and wonderfully scenic element all tied together by two things, you the reader and me the writer.  It is going to be primarily my views on the whatever video game or comic that I recently worked my way through.  Today's post is going to be a interesting because I am going to catch all of you up with all of my comic and gaming experience as well as what we have done in my graphics and gaming class since the beginning of the semester, so here we going.
The first graphic novel that we read was called "Understanding comics" by Scott McCloud.  This Graphic Novel was an awesome thing to read, understanding that I thought it dry and uneventful at points, it was still a pretty cool experience.  I liked the fact that it was a textbook but it was a comic book.  However, McCloud did make some good points for people who are new to comic books and have no idea on how to read them.  Next, we read an interesting graphic novel called "Blankets".  It followed the life of a fellow named Graig Thompson, it followed his ups and his down with his very sad life.  I say sad because through his words and pictures of the novel it seemed to have an overarching dark and saddening aura with was emitted through the pages of the book.  Graig never seemed to be happy unless he was with Raina who would eventually hurt him badly.   You see Raina was going through a rough patch in her life and it seemed as through Graig was a positive thing in that rough part,  the actuality of the relationship is the Graig was actually hindering her life so she left him when she was the only good thing in his life and he was the only good thing in her life.
Next, we have "Maus" a Concentration camp story told through the word of a son who is listening to his father tell his tail.  This tail portrays the Jewish people a mice and the Nazis as Cats.  This was a great symbol because first of all Cats hunt mice and also during the story Vladik(the father) and his family and friend were hiding in a number of places to escape the Nazis.  Just like a mouse would until it got hungry and left its hole in search of food and then the cat would pounce.  Overall, This was my favorite graphic novel that we read so far into the class.  What I liked about it was the fact that it seemed to be the perfect balance of both word and pictures making it seem easier to get through than I would say "Blankets", which has elaborate pictures with a lot going on inside the pictures that you find yourself spending 20 minutes trying to get a handle on what exactly is going on with the picture.  Anyway, back to the to topic at hand "Maus" was a fantastic read and for those of you who did not read "Maus" (Meaning the ones who read "Persepolis") I would highly recommend that you read it because it is a great book that deserves to be read by everyone!!!!!!!!! So yeah I think you should read it.  Which then brings us to the week at hand, this week, I elected to read "Watchmen".  More on that later my friendly readers because it is a story for another blog.
Now, Just an update on the video game portion of my blog, I will be blogging about Elder Scrolls V Skyrim like many other people in the class I would assume.  For right know all I have to say is that I will be playing an Argonian.  For people with a lack of experience in the Elder Scrolls world an Argonian is a giant lizard type being (see the picture)
So just so you all that is the creature that I will be playing in Skyrim, not my exact one but this is to just give you an idea of what I am trying to describe to you.
Also, There will be more news about World of Warcraft of which we are all playing for this class I also will be talking a little about that.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO until next time Butter McSpanky Pants salutes you thanks for reading!!!
